On Council Mulls Sales Tax Bump

As a Santa Barbara shopper (sometimes), but not a resident (so I wouldn't be able to vote on it) I would be annoyed if I had to pay a higher percentage to buy something in SB vs say Goleta or Carpinteria. I do a lot of shopping on Amazon so I pay the rate based on my shipping address so I wouldn't be affected there. Also groceries wouldn't be affected since there isn't much sales tax on items purchased from the grocery store unless they aren't food items.
It would probably lead me to spend a little more outside of Santa Barbara on purpose but I'm a cheapskate and like saving a few pennies or bucks here and there,

The ONLY reason it was LEGAL for a few months is because some judges BARELY overturned the People's decision. The People have spoken again, this time making it perfectly clear and putting it in the Constitution. Don't get mad, get even. Educate us on why we are wrong. I'll tell you what... the way the No on 8 people are behaving, you won't be getting any sympathy votes next time around.

We have been working closely with the investigators and at no time have they implicated any of our Westmont students.

Thanks truthteller40 re: the possibility that it wasn't Westmont students. Maybe they are giving SBCC time to come to grips with the fact that it was their students? Or Brooks? Who knows, let's all wait for the facts and names.
