A woman jogger in Littlerock, CA was killed by roaming Pit Bulls, on May 9th. In this situation, would you want to call 911 or a have a large capacity magazine in your pistol.

On Guns, Congress, and the Commander-in-Chief

I am 72 yr old. Wife and I both receive Payments from the Roosevelt-Ponzi Scheme. In the years post-WW2, SS became a re-election program, where SS payments were increased in election years. Increases were based on inflation, and in many cases, included an extra amount, to show that the incumbents cared. At the same time, the DC ruling class observed the large pile of cash in SS Trust Fund, and "borrowed" it for their own benefit. The cookie jar is now empty. Future payments will require either more borrowing/deficits, higher taxes, lower benefits or some combination. The history of the SS Trust Fund proves that no one in DC can be Trusted. We are on our own.

Congressperson Capps editorial is strictly partisan politics, with no recognition of the magnitude of the problem or discussion of the fiscal realities.

Ponzi schemes never end well!

On Cutting Social Security Benefits Not the Way to Go

Kamala Harris is using the Attorney General's office to campaign for Governor. Press Releases from the California AG office do not announce that the Calif AG has done something for the citizens. The Press Releases are self serving propaganda referring to K. Harris numerous times by name. This is probably an illegal use of the Office personnel and computers, but who do you call to prosecute the AG??

Sign up for Her AG press releases to see what I mean.

People should not be required to see firearms if they are uncomfortable around them. If it were true that people should be protected from seeing something uncomfortable, the civil rights movement would never have been allowed.

On Open Carry at Starbucks

I agree. I (we) am the problem by expecting too much from my government, and by voting for those that cause more spending for my benefit (pork).

I have the government that I deserve. But I promise to change my selfish ways and to deserve a better government. I do expect that the bloated Sacramento monster will not easily accept a healthy diet. There are nasty times ahead as I once again assert my role as master of the government.

How much money could be saved by cutting the internal spending in Sacramento? I am referring to the all of the expenses incurred by the weasels and their empires. No one knows how much money the Legislator spends because they want it that way. We have no visibility into the perks and "expenses" of each member. We need public visibility of the details of all expenditures driven by the Capitol. And I do mean ALL expenditures, including expenses directed/caused by the members but funded separately.

I wager that a 20% cut at the top would save a ton of money and not adversely affect the voters.

Governator - - are you listening!
