It is time to legalize pot in California and allow people to grow it legally! The Drug War is a major failure. If grown and f sold legally and taxed, this would provide a great revenue source for California. What are we waiting for?

California is the ONLY state in the nation where there are no extraction fees for these oil giants who are plundering our shale rock formations now, wasting our precious water in a major agricultural state, and contributing to seismic activity that could cause a major earthquake. It is about time that these giant AND profitable energy corporations start paying their fair share like the REST OF US. FRACK 'EM.

No, Mr. Lavagnino, it is more in line with a community's leaders doing what is right for our environment. It is unfortunate that too many people in SB County do not have the sense to bring re-usable bags to the store voluntarily. The city of SB is already moving a plastic bag ban forward, Ken! Plastic is creating havoc for our marine ecosystem. Wake up!

This young man needs serious help. It sounds like he may have serious mental health issues. This is why we need treatment centers in Santa Barbara. Please go to http://www.familiesact.org Why do we always jump to criminalize everyone? This man will get no treatment in jail, so he will likely end up moving in and out of the jail system at a tremendous cost to us all,

Well, gentlemen, and I use that word loosely, there IS such a thing called "animal cruelty" and the way the steer in the photo is being roped, jerked and brutally thrown to the ground is just that. Violent sports and violent men are not attractive anymore and should not be role models for our children. Get a clue.

As a woman and a Progressive Democrat, I am so happy that Sharon Rose won this seat on the Goleta Sanitary District Board. She is a brilliant lady! As a SB Democratic Central Committee member, I voted to endorse Sharon after she spoke at our meeting in October. She did get our endorsement! This will make her the FIRST woman to hold a seat on this board. Having known her and worked with her for many years, I know that Sharon will do a great job. Congratulations, Sharon, for running a good, honest, grassroots campaign and winning!!!!

We are two people who participated in shutting this down. It is time that we think ahead and care more about our planet and its wildlife than we do about these devastating tests that so adversely affects our whales, dolphins and other sea mammals. California does not need nuclear power, so we are hoping that we continue our quest for renewable and clean energy.

This woman and her great self esteem seminar helped save my life when I was going through my divorce from a cheating husband 25 years ago. She will be missed. I will never forget her.

This is exactly why we need Public Campaign financing reform! There have been so many ugly lies told about Congresswoman Capps. Maldonado would be another Republican obstructionist in Congress that we do NOT need!It is time to overturn Citizens United and get all this money out of our political system. The PEOPLE are the ones who should decide who will represent them, not these rich outside interest Super PACs and Corporations, who are only interested in profit.
