Thank you for being there and covering what is happening ! It makes some of us back in the USA realize how very much we take for granted. As we sit by our fires and sip our eggnog the fires burning in Copenhagen are a should be telling us to "wake up and do something now before it is too late"!

Diane Siegal sounds like the kind of teacher we all want to be teaching our children and good for you Stan Freedman for going to bat for her.

How sad that AShaw has nothing positive to say about anything. I feel badly for him and the readers of the paper who continually have to read his negative comments. The article is wonderful as is your coverage of the Inauguration.

Thanks Ethan and Kodi for sharing your journey. It was amazing when you called yesterday Ethan and I heard Obama speaking like he was standing right next to you through your cell phone. Our reception in a school built underground was less than perfect but for a few minutes listening to him through your phone made me feel like i was there with you! Hope you both got some sleep last night and can't wait for what you have to share with us later today.

Up at 5 AM to see if you made it to DC as it is hard to blog from a train. It was worth the wait! The picture on the wall of Obama's barber shop is my favorite. Hope you and Kodiak brought some warm clothes. Looking forward to today's blog. Thanks to you and both and the Independent again for sharing your experience with all of us.

snowed in in NH with no tv to watch all the "happenings" - finally made it to a library in town and after checking out your blog Ethan we feel connected. Great pictures and descriptions of your journey. Thanks!

Sounds like AShaw has a few issues ( negative ones). Perhaps he never wanted to get home to his family for a visit and was unable to. I feel badly for him and his negative attitude. One might read Stewart's article and say "how sad that he didn't make it home for Christmas" instead of AShaw's opinion which was full of criticism instead of empathy. Hope you made it home this year Ethan!
