    bring hot temperatures to the region, although there will be some
    cooling in the marine influenced or Delta areas today.
    Temperatures over much of the Central Valley and portions of the
    foothills will top 100 degrees. There is the potential for heat-
    related illness to humans, pets, and livestock with long outdoor
    exposure.
