    THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON...
    * WHAT...Heavy snow and strong, damaging winds possible. Damage
    to trees and power lines is possible as well. Total snow
    accumulations of 3 to 6 inches possible between 4500 and 5500
    feet, with 6 to 12 inches between 5500 and 6500 feet, and 1 to
    2 feet above 6500 feet.
    * WHERE...Greater Lake Tahoe Area and Lassen-Eastern Plumas-
    Eastern Sierra Counties.
    * WHEN...From Thursday afternoon through Friday afternoon.
    * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Significant reductions in visibility are
    possible in areas of heavy snow and blowing snow. Power
    outages will be possible, especially Thursday in the Sierra
    Valley and along Highway 395 between Susanville and the Nevada
    State Line. Sierra ridges gusts expected to exceed 100 mph.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
    Now is the time to prepare an emergency kit for your home and
    car. If traveling consider alternate plans, remember to carry
    tire chains, extra food, water and clothing. Once the storm
    arrives, travel may be difficult or impossible for an extended
    period of time.
