Nevada. The strongest winds are expected across southern Santa
Barbara county and the Antelope Valley where gusts between 40 and
50 mph are likely at times. The winds will peak and be most
widespread Monday this afternoon. Gusty winds are also expected
in the Los Angeles and Ventura County mountains, but that will be
handled by the Winter Weather Advisory (see WSWLOX).
On Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, as the winds weaken and a very
cold air mass settles over the area, areas of near or below
freezing temperatures are likely over portions of Ventura, Santa
Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties.
