...Stronger Pacific Storm Midweek...
A stronger Pacific storm will bring periods of moderate to heavy
precipitation and gusty wind Wednesday with unsettled weather
continuing Thursday into Friday. Heaviest precipitation and
strongest wind expected Wednesday into early Thursday. Snow levels
will initially be 4000 to 6000 feet Wednesday, but lower to 2000
to 3500 feet Thursday. Rainfall amounts of around a third to an
inch and a half forecast in the Central Valley, with 1 to 3
inches for the foothills and mountains. Several feet of snow
possible over the higher terrain with wind gusts at times of 40 to
60 mph. Decreasing showers Friday with drier weather forecast
over the weekend.
Hazardous driving conditions possible in the mountains with
travel delays and chain controls likely. Lower elevations will see
slick roads. Gusty wind Wednesday could impact high profile
