  • ...LATE SEASON SNOW OVER THE MOUNTAINS CONTINUES THROUGH
    TONIGHT...
    .A MOIST AND UNSEASONABLY COLD LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM CONTINUES TO
    SPIN OVER THE AREA AND WILL PRODUCE SNOWFALL ABOVE 5000 FEET
    THROUGH TONIGHT. WARM ROAD SURFACES WILL RESULT IN ONLY
    OCCASIONAL SLUSHY ACCUMULATIONS ON ROADWAYS DURING THE HEAVIEST
    PERIODS OF SNOW. BARE GROUND... UNPAVED ROADS... AND AREAS THAT
    STILL HAVE SNOW ON THE GROUND WILL RECEIVE THE HEAVIEST NEW SNOW
    ACCUMULATIONS.
    ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM PDT
    SATURDAY...
    * SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO 3 INCHES OF SNOW WITH
    LOCAL AMOUNTS UP TO 6 INCHES CAN BE EXPECTED. ACCUMULATIONS MAY
    BE LOCALLY SIGNIFICANT IN HEAVIER SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS.
    * ELEVATION...SNOW MAY ACCUMULATE DOWN TO NEAR 4500 FEET... BUT
    THE HEAVIEST ACCUMULATION WILL BE ABOVE 5000 FEET.
    * TIMING...SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH TONIGHT AND THEN
    DIMINISH SATURDAY MORNING.
    * LOCATIONS INCLUDE...THE MOUNTAINS OF EASTERN SISKIYOU COUNTY
    FROM MOUNT SHASTA TO THE MEDICINE LAKE AREA.
    * IMPACTS...SNOWFALL AND REDUCED VISIBILITIES WILL MAKE TRAVEL
    DIFFICULT IN THE AREA. COLD AND WET CONDITIONS WILL BE
    DANGEROUS TO THOSE UNPREPARED. DAMAGE TO TREES AND FOLIAGE
    WITH LEAVES IS POSSIBLE... WHICH COULD AFFECT POWER LINES.
