LIGHT SNOW WILL DEVELOP OVER SOUTHEASTKANSAS AND THE MISSOURI OZARKS LATE SUNDAY NIGHT INTO MONDAYMORNING. MODERATE SNOW WILL DEVELOP FROM WEST TO EAST ACROSS THEOZARKS MONDAY AFTERNOON INTO MONDAY EVENING. THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALLWILL OCCUR MONDAY EVENING...AND POSSIBLY THE AFTERNOON COMMUTE.THE SNOW WILL TAPER OFF FROM WEST TO EAST TUESDAY MORNING.GENERALLY 2 TO 4 INCHES OF SNOW IS EXPECTED SOUTH OF THE I-44CORRIDOR. 4 TO 5 INCHES OF SNOW IS EXPECTED NORTH OF I-44 WITH 6INCHES OF SNOW EXPECTED ALONG AND NORTH OF THE HIGHWAY 54 CORRIDORACROSS CENTRAL MISSOURI. THIS IS WHERE THE CURRENT WINTER STORMWATCH IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM MONDAY TO 6 AM TUESDAY.THE WINTER STORM WATCH MAY BE UPGRADED TO A WINTER STORM WARNINGLATER TODAY WITH ADVISORIES POSSIBLY POSTED FOR THE REMAINDER OFSOUTHEAST KANSAS AND THE MISSOURI OZARKS.THIS WINTER STORM WILL IMPACT THE SURROUNDING REGION WITH THEHEAVIEST SNOW FALLING ACROSS NORTHERN KANSAS AND MISSOURI. THOSEWITH TRAVEL PLANS SHOULD MONITOR THE LATEST WEATHERINFORMATION...AND BE PREPARED FOR HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS.AS THE STORM SYSTEM EXITS THE REGION ON TUESDAY...AN ARCTICAIRMASS WILL SETTLE IN OVER THE OZARKS.
