ADDITIONALLY...NUMEROUS RURAL ROADS...FLOOD-PRONEAREAS AND LOW WATER CROSSINGS WERE LIKELY STILL FLOODED ACROSSMAINLY THE EASTERN HALVES OF ELK AND CHAUTAUQUA COUNTIES.PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...EVEN THOUGH THE THREAT FOR HEAVY RAINFALL HAS ENDED FOR THE TIMEBEING...EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM EARLIER HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CONTINUETO CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...FLOOD-PRONE COUNTRYROADS...LOW-LYING AREAS...AS WELL AS FARMLAND ALONG THE BANKS OFCREEKS AND STREAMS.IN HILLY TERRAIN THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF LOW WATER CROSSINGS WHICH CANBE POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS DURING FLOODING.
