Final Score

County registrars certified final local results for the Nov. 4 election this week, showing that "Landslide Tony" Strickland defeated Hannah-Beth Jackson by 857 votes, two-tenths of one percent of the 415,095 ballots cast, in the race for the 19th state senate district seat:

Strickland 207,976 (50.10)
Jackson 207,119 (49.89)

According to the certified numbers posted on county web sites, the vote broke down this way:

Jackson 73,766 (55.68)
Strickland 58,703 (44.31)

Strickland 132,325 (52.23)
Jackson 120,983 (47.76)

Strickland 16,948 (57.80)
Jackson 12,370 (42.19)

The secretary of state has until Dec. 12 to certify the county results.
