It's always nice having another wine festival to look forward to, and thanks to the Santa Barbara County Vintners' Association, we have yet another one to keep morale high once summer ends.
Tickets to the SBCVA's beloved annual Celebration of Harvest are now on sale via the Association's website for the event's Saturday, October 9.
Although the main event will take place that Saturday from 1-4pm at Santa Maria's Rancho Sisquoc, much like the Vintners' Festival, Celebration of Harvest will spark a weekend-long wine carousal throughout the entire Santa Barbara County wine world.
An open field at Rancho Sisquoc waits patiently for October 9, 2010, when dozens of wineries and their loyal imbibers will arrive.
The Vintners' Visa--also available through the website-- allows holders to taste at any of the 12 participating wineries free of charge from October 8-11.
Joining in on the Celebration of Harvest--and better yet, making a weekend out of it-- will undoubtedly provide a beautiful autumn experience. The valley really comes alive in the fall, with wineries in the throws of harvest and the kind of vibrantly colored flora we city folk don't get too much of.
