Ordinance Aims to Limit Teen Drinking
A potential social host ordinance in the city of Santa Barbara was the center of discussion at a Community and Youth Speak Out on 5/14 at the Cabrillo Pavilion Arts Center. The ordinance, which Mayor Marty Blum said has already been drawn up by the city attorney’s office, would hold hosts responsible for providing alcohol to minors. Many area jurisdictions, including Carpinteria and Ventura County, have passed similar social host ordinances.
