Hoping to prevent suicides, a slew of local and government agencies are moving forward with plans to build a possibly six-foot steel safety barrier along the sides of the Cold Spring Canyon Arch Bridge on Highway 154. Having secured $1 million from the California Office of Traffic Safety, Caltrans hopes to see the project started by the summer of 2010, pending environmental impact reviews.
