•City@Peace, a national youth leadership and outreach program, is looking for teenage and adult volunteers from Santa Barbara, Isla Vista, and Goleta to help facilitate meetings and assist in community service projects. •On Saturday, October 6, Carpinteria Creek Committee, Carpinteria Beautiful, and the CEC will sponsor the cleanup of Carpinteria, Franklin, and Santa Monica creeks. Volunteers should meet at 6th Street and Carpinteria Creek at 10 a.m. Gloves, garbage bags, and snacks will be provided.

•The Santa Barbara Rescue Mission will host a Hawaiian-themed fundraiser luncheon at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 6. The event will include music, food, and a silent auction featuring prizes like trips to Martha’s Vineyard and the Colorado Rockies.
