Truck Catches Fire on Figueroa

A construction worker driving his pick-up truck stopped on Figueroa Street between State and Anacapa at noon on Thursday after his dashboard started smoking and caught fire. A worker in a nearby building came out with a fire extinguisher to quell the fire until the Santa Barbara Fire Department responded. The one-engine company was able to extinguish the fire.

The cause of the fire is unknown. There were no injuries, and the truck was towed.
