Two large storms in the Pacific converged to create the largest swell of 2007. Coming straight from the west, the long period groundswell-estimated to be approximately 20 feet at 19 seconds on 12/4, according to the Goleta buoy-caught the attention of all surfers and coastal property owners in the area. At press time, it was not known if any damage had been caused by the high surf.
