Zoo Brings Snow for Snow Leopard Festival
The Santa Barbara Zoo imported 40 tons of snow for its Snow Leopard Festival on 12/9, held to raise money and awareness for the Snow Leopard Trust. Snow was placed in the cages of those animals that come from cooler climates, as well as in the hilltop park to create two sledding ramps for kids. Snow leopards, which come from the Himalayas, are critically endangered.
