Home Depot Employee Arrested for Theft

Sheriff’s deputies arrested Isla Vista resident and Home Depot employee Aarone Perez on 12/26 after being summoned by the store’s “loss prevention” staff. Deputies were told that Perez allegedly stole $2,621 worth of merchandise from the store on 12/20 and 12/22. According to Sgt. Alex Tipolt, the suspect allegedly participated in a receipt-fixing scheme that was caught by the company’s computers.
