Whale Tales

‘Tis the season – for whales and for whale watching. Humpbacks are swimming through the waters off the coast of Santa Barbara, and Captain Don’s SpeedTwin and other whale watching tour operators are in full swing. During these summer months, Captain Don offers trips from Stearns Wharf toward the Channel Islands to see the humpbacks and any other whales that might be present. This past weekend was reportedly an especially busy period for these marine behemoths, though many were still visible on Monday.
