“Theoretically it could’ve been an accident,” said Sgt. John Corre of the Santa Barbara Police Department. He reported that the call had been received from the owner of the property who was now uncooperative with police, refusing to give up the names of anyone involved. To that, Corre responded that a search warrant will soon be issued and the collection of evidence will begin. With evidence, hopefully, will come suspects. The police have no suspects at the time this story was posted.

The victim was left with a large slash wound across the body and is currently undergoing emergency surgery at Cottage Hospital. Initial reports on the scene said the victim was expected to survive the slashing.
