A single car crash involving a vehicle that rolled off Highway 101 near San Ysidro Road on Tuesday night killed two men and injured another.

The Santa Barbara County Coroner’s Bureau has positively identified Felix Alejandro Ortiz-Cazaldilla, 21, of Santa Barbara, as one of the two victims from the Montecito car crash.

The second victim, a 35-year-old also from Santa Barbara, has yet to be positively identified because his family does not live in the area.

The third occupant of the car, 21-year-old Alejandro Valdez, is the only survivor of the crash. He is currently in stable condition at Cottage Hospital.

UPDATE: According to one reader, this crash did not happen near San Ysidro Road. Rather, the reader explained that it occurred on North Jameson Lane, and was actually closer to Olive Mill and Coast Village roads.

UPDATE 2: The California Highway Patrol believes alcohol was involved in the collision, which remains under investigation.

To clarify the reader’s statement, the car, a Honda Civic, veered onto the right shoulder of Highway 101, through some brush and a fence, and came to a stop on North Jameson, south of Olive Mill Road. One person, who died, was ejected from the vehicle, while the driver was the other deceased victim.
