Having sent an email comparing Israel’s treatment of Gaza with Nazi war crimes, UCSB sociology professor William Robinson has come under intense scrutiny of groups-such as the Anti-Defamation League-alleging anti-Semitism. Another group called California Scholars for Academic Freedom asserted that the proposed investigation of Robinson by campus administration violates academic freedom. A letter was submitted on their behalf by Noam Chomsky.
