Where: 119 Harbor Way, #B (off Cabrillo St.), (805) 962-6568.

What: A casual dine-in or take-out sushi stop on the harbor that draws a large afternoon crowd for a sea-breeze break from work and for view-thirsty tourists.

How Much: Chef’s special rolls $6.50-$9.50, combo lunch special (served with salad, five-piece California Roll, rice, mixed tempura, and chicken teriyaki) $7.95

The Dish: Tucked into a tiny corner spot amid the harbor’s laid-back restaurant scene, Deli Sushi Go Go lures customers to return with exceptionally fresh fish, generous portions, and a panoramic view from the Riviera down to an expansive ocean. All seating is outdoors, as the indoor space is barely big enough to open the drinks refrigerator without bumping into the out-the-door line. Precise and calculated sushi chefs twist and shape rolls in the tiny area for the lunchtime rush. Whether it be rice-wrapped fish, fish-wrapped rice, sauce-drizzled or bare, the plate-filling rolls are the stars, appearing on the picture menu at the order counter. Chef’s special rolls include a flashy rainbow roll, an avocado-topped caterpillar roll, and a spicy scallop and tuna firecracker roll. Also enjoy sushi la carte, bento box combo specials, teriyaki plates, or sashimi packed salads.
