Renowned physicist and UCSB professor Joseph Incandela was appointed deputy spokesperson of a historical project taking place in Geneva, Switzerland. The experiment is being conducted at the Large Hadron Collider where Incandela has been working with a team of physicists for the past two years. According to Incandela, the outcome of their experiment to observe a new form of matter could push physics into a new realm by 2010.
