Empowered by the sheer awesomeness of Alaska’s former governor, I am now forging ahead on my own no-holes-patched, no-tires-spared, no-stones-unrolled expose, Going San Roque: 37 Years Battling Fire, Drought, Real Estate Agents, and other Sinister Intruders in Paradise.

Like my gutsy guru, I will be “naming names”-although, at my age, I’ll probably get a few of ’em wrong. But hey-this is one memoir that cries out to be written, and soon.

I do have a lot of other chores to handle: bills, laundry, shopping, making sure no WMDs are smuggled into Mission Canyon (which I can see from my kitchen window). So I might just have to reduce the scope of my book to a chapbook, or a monograph. Actually, to be as brutally honest as my mentor, this letter is probably it.

No autographs, please. I saw my duty and I did it. -Sol D. Morrison
