Sounds of St. Patrick’s Day

March 17 in Santa Barbara always means a plethora of fun ways to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. The following are a few leprechaun-friendly music events to help you find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow this week:

• The Foggy Dew Irish Band play Irish tunes and perform Irish dances at Peabody’s (1198 Coast Village Rd., Montecito) on Wednesday, March 17 from 4 to 7 p.m., and at State & A Bar and Grill (1201 State St.) from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. the same night. Call 884-5173.

• Spencer and the Worried Lads and their self-proclaimed “Irish-Mexican-Pirate” sounds are featured at SOhO (1221 State St.) on Wednesday, March 17, from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $5, and all ages are welcome. Call 962-7776.

• An Irish Open Session happens at Muddy Waters Café (508 E. Haley St.) on Thursday, March 18, at 7 p.m. Call 966-9128.
