A 29-year-old Goleta man was killed in an ATV accident on 3/27 in Los Padres National Forest. Daniel Salgado was reportedly driving an all terrain vehicle near the Upper Oso Campground with a group of eight other riders when he missed a sharp turn, careening off the edge of a cliff. The other riders were purportedly unaware what had happened until they returned to their campsite and noticed Salgado was missing. Responding authorities lowered several firefighters to the scene and discovered the victim had succumbed to blunt-force injuries.
