On Tuesday, June 29, Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s detectives arrested City College student Noah Davenport, 20, for drug dealing and shipping narcotics, according to a press release from the department.

The Narcotics Unit had received information about a marijuana and cocaine trafficker in the area earlier in the month, and the investigation led to a search of Davenport’s apartment in the 600 block of De la Vina Street. During the search, detectives found half an ounce of ready-to-sell cocaine, a half pound of marijuana, numerous Xanax pills, numerous LSD tabs, and packaging and shipping materials.

Davenport had allegedly been purchasing marijuana from local dispensaries, faking a personal medical condition. In fact, said detectives, he was packaging and shipping it in quarter-pound bags to various locations in Ohio. He was purportedly paid $1,000 per bag, and payment slips were also found in the residence. According to the release, Davenport had provided a minor with cocaine, who now has a pending drug possession charge.

Davenport was recently released from Santa Barbara County Jail after posting $30,000 bail.
