MarBorg Unveils New Natural Gas Station

MarBorg trash czar Mario Borgatello held a celebration to unveil a new compressed natural gas fueling station that’ll serve the company’s fleet of 16 trash trucks. The retrofit will cost MarBorg $850,000 up front. Compressed natural gas costs far less than diesel fuel and burns much cleaner. Under Borgatello, MarBorg has built a reputation as a green-minded, eco-friendly trash company, providing the infrastructure upon which much of the South Coast’s recycling efforts rely. MarBorg is currently competing with Allied Waste, otherwise known as BFI, for new city and county franchise agreements. Allied—MarBorg’s nemesis—also has plans to convert its fleet to compressed natural gas.
