New Interim Public Defender Named

Raimundo Montes de Oca, a longtime attorney in the office of the Public Defender, has been named interim public defender to replace Greg Paraskou when he retires on 10/1. The Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the appointment, with 2nd District Supervisor Janet Wolf telling Montes de Oca, “We have the utmost confidence in you.” Montes de Oca was previously an assistant public defender in the South County office.
