Call for Entries: Holiday Prince & Fairy Art Contest
Kids Six to 10 Asked to Color, Paint, or Draw
The Santa Barbara Downtown Organization is now accepting entries for the annual Holiday Prince & Fairy Art Contest!
Kids ages 6-10 are asked to draw, color or paint a picture of what makes the holiday’s special to them. One boy and one girl will then be invited to participate in the Downtown Holiday Parade as the Holiday Prince & Fairy. Their job is the most important one of all, they ride in a horse drawn carriage at the beginning of the parade and light the 50 foot Community Christmas Tree with a magic wand, signifying the start of the 58th Annual Downtown Holiday Parade and the kick off of the holiday season.
Need Help? As part of the monthly 1st Thursday event on Thursday, November 4th from 5-8pm, kids can also stop by Border’s Patio or the Museum of Art corner to drop off or create their entry with art supplies on site.
Deadline to submit entry form and art work to the Downtown Organization is Friday, November 12th by 4pm.
