Transition House in Competition to Be Triathlon Beneficiary

Transition House family homeless shelter (www.transitionhouse.com) is one of eight Santa Barbara area non-profits in the running to be the 2011 beneficiary of the Santa Barbara Triathlon. The Triathlon takes place the weekend of August 26-28th .

The winning nonprofit will receive all event proceeds, which could be up to $50,000, raised by participating athletes and volunteers.

“We have notified our supporters of this great opportunity, encouraging them to go online and vote for us. The funds from the Triathlon can really help a lot of homeless kids and their families in our community”, says Transition House Grants Manager, Christienne Durbin. “Voting ends on Monday, January 31, so please hurry. And thanks for your vote!”

Votes can be accepted on line at www.montecito.com (just follow the links to vote) and at local branches of Montecito Bank and Trust.
