Strides of Pride

This Wednesday marks the start of Pride Week 2011 in S.B. Show off all your true colors at some of the Pacific Pride Organization’s many pride-centered activities scheduled for this week and next:

• Sunset at the Canary Official Kick-Off Party: Mixing, mingling, and live music by DJ Bonnie at Pride Week’s official opening event. (Wed., July 6, 6-8pm. The Perch, Canary Hotel (rooftop), 31 W. Carrillo St. Free.)

• Pride Girl Party: A night celebrating S.B.’s proud ladies. (Thu., July 7, 9pm. Whiskey Richards, 435 State St. $5.)

• Pacific Pride Festival: The feature event of Pride Week, starring ’80s pop superstar Debbie Gibson. (Sat., July 9, 11am-7pm. Leadbetter Beach, Cabrillo Blvd. and Loma Alta Dr. Free.)
