Joshua Braun, his wife, Dayli, and George Wardlaw—three of the 11 people arrested last spring during raids on the upper State Street medical marijuana dispensary Hortipharm and a few related properties—pleaded not guilty last week to a variety of Grand Jury indictment charges ranging from cannabis possession and cultivation to money laundering. Four other codefendants, Gus Lizarraga, Michael Shane, Carl Quinn, and Benjamin Wilmore, had their arraignments continued to 8/9 as all parties involved appear to be working toward a possible deal. Three other individuals arrested in the Hortipharm sweep, Briana Powell, Nicole McKernan, and Tiffany Shinn, saw charges against them dropped.
