LOMPOC LOCALS’ DAY: The Lompoc Wine Ghetto — one of the world’s hottest sipping zones right now — welcomes residents of Lompoc and Vandenberg Village on Sunday, March 25, noon-4 p.m., for its second annual Locals’ Day, where a $30 ticket gets you a glass and tasting at all of the 18 tasting rooms (usually $10 a pop) in the otherwise nondescript industrial park. Proceeds benefit Lompoc libraries. See lompocghetto.com.

TRY TEMPRANILLO: The fourth American Wine Society tasting is Flavors from Spain: Tempranillo and Tapas on Wednesday, March 28, 6-8:30 p.m., at Alchemy Arts Cafe (430 Chapala St.) and features a pairing led by Dorothy Schuler, owner of Bodegas Paso Robles and president of TAPAS (Tempranillo Advocates, Producers and Amigos Society). Expect six tempranillos from Europe, South America, and the Central Coast. It’s $30 for members, $40 for others. See awssb.org.

VINTNERS’ FEST WEEKEND: Mark your calendars April 20-23 for the annual Santa Barbara County Vintners’ Festival Weekend, with dinners, special tastings, and more, culminating in the festival itself on Saturday, April 21, 1-4 p.m., where a $75 ticket gets you unlimited food and drink from more than 100 wineries. The fun’s the same, but the location is new: The Carranza, just outside of Los Olivos. See sbcountywines.com.
