EF International Schools’ very own Santa Barbara school invites local community to celebrate 30 years of EF Santa Barbara.

The two hour open house begins at 6:00pm on Thursday May 17, 2012 at EF International, located at 1421 Chapala Street. This free event is open to the public to promote the educational efforts of EF to break down cultural barriers and promote career and cultural exchange opportunities—globally and locally.

EF Santa Barbara barbeques and serves refreshments at open house “to invite the local community to one of Santa Barbara’s best kept secret. We are so passionate about cultural exchange that we will raffle off a 2 week study abroad scholarship to one of the attendees in order to encourage learning about the world around us,” said Carsten Knobloch, School Director.

Santa Barbara is one of the most popular destinations around the world. For the first time ever, EF Santa Barbara expects more than 1,000 students from over 50 countries this summer. EF’s student body will approximately represent 1% of Santa Barbara’s population. EF helps shape a big part of Santa Barbara as a global community and is a significant contributor to Santa Barbara’s economy.

Opportunities to host students, create collaborations, teach English… the possibilities and connections are off the globe. To learn more about how to be a part of EF and local efforts to promote cultural exchange, visit the website at www.ef.com, call (805) 962-8680 or visit the school.
