KETTMANNS QUADRUPLED: At 3:03 p.m. on Sunday, July 15, Senior Editor Matt Kettmann, his wife, Joanna, and his son, Mason, welcomed Madeline Rose to the family after a brief, all-natural, and relatively painless labor, the last two hours of which were spent at Cottage Hospital. Coming one day after Matt and Joanna’s fifth wedding anniversary, Madeline, who weighed in at 7.9 pounds and 19 inches, is the first girl of the next generation of the extended Kettmann family, which includes nearly 30 cousins around Matt’s age. “She’s also the latest addition to our sprawling clan of close friends in Santa Barbara,” said Matt, who’s been in the area since 1995 and started working at the paper in 1999. “We can’t imagine a better place to raise our family.”
