Commemorating the praises for one man’s ears which often hear the news before those of his peers.

An ode to Roger Dodger

Is long overdue,

Not because he’s a codger,

‘Cause gents like him are few-

Ears glued to the scanner

All day and all night,

He’s no king in a manor,

But he is our news knight –

Explaining bloodied lawns,

Hovering helicopter noise,

And locked-down neighborhoods –

A recluse reporter sans yawns,

Police radar pimp with poise,

Forthright fact finder with the goods.
