Sports Highlights: Dec. 6-18
UPDATE – Friday, December 14: Westmont College hosts a pair of basketball games today. UCSB’s men return to action at the Thunderdome on Saturday night against San Diego Christian. In their last outing before final exams, the Gauchos were blitzed by 17th-ranked San Diego State in the first half but finished strong in an 84-70 defeat.
In high school basketball, Carpinteria’s Jim Bashore Cage Classic begins four days of competition today. Area teams competing include Bishop Diego, San Marcos, Carpinteria and Santa Barbara, which will host its opening game.
