LegoLand Hotel Opening

It may be hard for first-time parents to understand, but when it comes to theme parks and young kids, word on the child-rearing street is that LegoLand is the best place to take your toddlers and preteens — better even, many claim, than Disneyland itself. And the allure is just getting stronger, as the fully interactive and colorfully creative LegoLand Hotel opens up on April 5, meaning that those who flock to northern San Diego County to experience the park won’t really have to leave when the night draws dark.

Like the 128-acre park, which opened in Carlsbad in 1999, the LegoLand hotel is targeted to kids aged 2 to 12 years old, and features nearly 3,500 LegoLand models made from three million bricks. There are junior concierges, who help your kids plan their days, and treasure hunts upon reaching your rooms, which start at $149 per night. And for the adults, there’s restaurants and a lounge, too, all decked out with Legos worth looking at.
