The Mission City Brawlin’ Betties, winners of three out of four roller derby bouts this year, will mix it up with the L.A. Derby Dolls Varsity Brawlers on the rink at the Earl Warren Showgrounds on Saturday, June 15. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m., a half hour before the coed bout begins.

A mid-week slump in Mission Viejo put two defeats on Santa Barbara Foresters’ ledger. After winning their first eight games, the Foresters were blanked by the L.A. Brewers, 2-0, on Tuesday, and the baseball teams split a double-header Wednesday. They Foresters will try to bounce back today (Thursday, June 13) at UCSB against the Bakersfield Sound, then they embark on a six-game road trip, their longest of the summer.
