The Profant Foundation for the Arts announces their annual Fiesta Finale Gala on Sunday, August 4, 2013, 5:30-10:00pm at El Paseo Restaurant in the heart of Santa Barbara. The black-tie event features the legendary Gil Rosas at the piano, a gourmet dinner, professional entertainment, and concludes with dancing to the music of the Martinez Brothers. During the cocktail hour, guests will enjoy an exhibit of historic photos and memorabilia, along with rare film footage of Santa Barbara in the 1930’s and 40’s.

Continuing the long history of floor shows at El Paseo, Fiesta Finale 2013 includes:

• Highlights from State Street Ballet’s “An American Tango,” the story of the famous dance team Veloz & Yolanda

• Flamenco dancer Richard Chavez & Company

• Popular songs performed by Broadway baritone Robert Patteri

The Profant Foundation is a non-profit 501c3 organization that has given hundreds of scholarships to local developing artists of all ages, in the fields of dance, music, theatre, art, and literature. Recipients have used the funds in a variety of ways: to publish a book, sing in Europe, intern as a dancer in New York, complete a solo art exhibit, attend a writer’s conference, and much, much more. During the past 13 years the Foundation has also offered several exhibits and performances for arts education, which were made possible by community support and proceeds from the Fiesta Finale Gala. Tickets start at $150 each, Table Sponsorships at $1600. For more information call 805-682-8184. Web: www.profant.org
