Capps Votes To Allow Washington To Run Wild

The bill increases oversight of federal agencies and places common sense limits on bonuses handed out to Washington bureaucrats.

“It’s inexcusable for Lois Capps to allow Washington to run wild with no oversight of federal agencies like the IRS,” said NRCC Communications Director Andrea Bozek. “Capps’ brazen vote to allow excessive taxpayer-funded bonuses on the backs of hardworking taxpayers proves her loyalties lie with Washington bureaucrats and Nancy Pelosi.”

The bill comes on the heels of the IRS scandal, where the IRS targeted conservative groups and stifled their free speech. During the IRS scandal, the director of the tax-exempt organization division, Lois Lerner, was put on paid leave funded by American taxpayers. The bill would allow federal agencies to place employees under investigation on unpaid leave.
