NOTICE: Dog Wash Facilities in Santa Barbara County Parks

On July 11, 2013, the County of Santa Barbara Community Services Department gave Monarch Pet Spas LLC 90-day termination notices relating to the Pet Spa Operations at all three County Park locations, which include Waller Park, Arroyo Burro Beach, and Lookout Park. These notices were given to Monarch Pet Spas due to its failure to comply with terms of its agreements with the County.

This action of termination comes after numerous failed attempts by the County to work with Monarch Pet Spas LLC during the past 12 months. Monarch Pets Spas has been in default of the agreements for the non-payment of rent and the failure to provide accurate accounting records.

The County recognizes the value of the service that these facilities provide for its residents and is diligently working on other options to ensure similar services at our County Park facilities.
