The Wildling Museum Presents Holiday Open House with Art and Craft Sale
Celebrating the holiday season the Wildling Museum is hosting a special open house on Saturday, December 7, 2013. The Museum will be open with free admission from 12:00pm to 5:00pm (1511-B Mission Drive, Solvang). Local artists will be showcasing their handcrafted gifts and demonstrating how they create unique items using natural materials. Plus in the Wilderness Resource Center meet Craig R. Carey, author of Hiking & Backpacking Santa Barbara & Ventura and purchase a signed copy. It’s the perfect time to purchase special holiday gifts! The Museum will be serving hot cider and treats, offering an art activity and face painting from 1:00-3:00pm, and presenting a holiday performance by the Old Mission Santa Ines choir starting at 3:00pm.
Items for sale will include wood turned bowls, handcrafted copper, silver and beaded jewelry, pine needle baskets, beautiful decorated gourds and ceramics, note cards, prints and more. Vendors include: Bud Bottoms, Dale Cornwell, Joan Craton, Chris Hansen: Fallen Tree Art, Patti Jacquemain, Cathy McGavin: CM Gourdworks, Monika Miehle: Timely Jewels, Sisters Jewelry, Edward Spaw, Claus Stapelmann, Marilyn Voorhis: White Sage, and Heather Wehnau.
