Rural Crimes Unit Hunts for Fugitive

Deputies with the Sheriff’s Rural Crimes Unit are on the hunt for 32-year-old Shaun Axe of Santa Maria, who’s wanted for stealing equipment, vehicles, and tools from a number of North County farms. Two men — 33-year-old Ernest Johnson and 30-year-old Travis Grant — have been arrested in connection with the string of thefts. Those with information on Axe’s whereabouts are asked to call 934-6512.
