The father and sons team of AC4 Fitness has taken their award winning health club concept on the road by opening a second location! AC4 Fitness opened their first location in Goleta just two years ago, and the facility has already been recognized by Shape Magazine as America’s Eco-Friendliest Health Club. Their second location, in the La Cumbre area of Santa Barbara, opened on February 1st.

Tony has devoted 30 years of his life to building and managing Gold’s Gyms on the south-central coast. The three Gold’s Gyms here in Santa Barbara were sold to Spectrum in 2005. Three years ago, with the long-term “noncompete” agreement with Spectrum now behind him, Tony was eager to develop a new kind of fitness center—this time with the help of his younger sons Ian and Connor Calhoun.

AC4 Fitness is named after Anthony Calhoun IV, the middle son, who was lost in a car accident on April 27th, 2009. Anthony was instrumental in the development of this new club concept and it’s vision–A socially responsible, cutting edge fitness center that breaks down the traditional barriers of joining a health club through simple and non-threatening exercise, 24/7 convenience, a welcoming environment, at a compelling price!
