Lange Twins Lodi Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2011: Lodi’s history as a grape-growing region goes back to the 1850s, but it’s never been quite so exciting as today, when quality-minded producers pump out affordable yet tasty bottles.

A great example is this $15 deal made by identical twins Randall and Brad Lange, the fifth generation of sustainably minded farmer who have been carrying on their family tradition since 1974. In this case, expect aromas of cherry, cooked plum, vanilla, leather, black pepper, and hot asphalt that give way to flavors ranging from lush cherry jam to sour cranberry to Dr. Pepper.
